Fine Art Painting

I work to commission whilst at the same time building my personal collection of paintings. The impressions and feelings produced by landscapes and architecture are great sources of inspiration for me. Most of my artwork is concerned with creating or recreating feelings and atmospheres of spaces and places - therefore the nature of my painting is always inherently abstract, even in cases where an easily discernible image is represented.

Stone Sculpture

As a trained stone sculptor I can carve for a variety of purposes, including: free-standing artistic sculpture, architectural stone carving (for both new and historical buildings), and letter cutting for signs and plaques. I work to commission and am able to create site-specific stone sculpture for private homes, gardens and work places.

I was awarded a scholarship by the Sir John Cass's Foundation in 1996 to study stone carving at The City & Guilds of London Art School. I graduated in 1999 with a very successful final year show and won the Executive Committee Prize for Outstanding Work in the Graduate Show.

Since 2005 I have been heavily involved with one of my local secondary schools, where I've helped with numerous art projects and run block carving workshops and short courses. My students, ranging in age from 11 to 18, are virtually always great fun to work with and produce some wonderful pieces.

Please visit the following page for some examples of student work ~ Student Block Carvings

I have also run private courses for individuals and groups of all ages. I can provide all necessary equipment and materials. Please contact me to discuss tailoring a course to your needs ~ Contact

Art Sales

I sell my mostly to private buyers and individuals. However, notable clients have included The Ritz Hotel London and VISA International.

I've exhibited stone sculpture at the Henley Upon Thames Art Festival, the Chelsea Flower Show as well as the Natural Stone Show.

CALLIOPE™ Magazine (Published by Cobblestone Publishing in association with The Getty Museum) did an article on my stone sculpture in 2008.
