In the late 1990s, Nick Norris was awarded a scholarship by the Sir John Cass’s Foundation to study at The City & Guilds of London Art School. Since graduating in 1999, he has worked as a multidisciplinary artist and sculptor.
Over the years, Nick has created carved works in stone and marble, ranging from purely artistic pieces to architectural ornament. He also works extensively in paint and photography, mediums that reflect his particular love of landscapes, spaces, and travel. More recently, much of his 2D work has been inspired by the vibrant colours and textures of Southern African terrains. Recently, he has enjoyed exploring the intersection of traditional 2D media and digital formats.
As the son of a French polisher, Nick grew up immersed in the world of wood finishing and fine carpentry. He spent over 15 years collaborating with his father and brother to create bespoke high-end furniture. While this site does not currently showcase his woodwork, these disciplines provide a vital foundation for his art, informing his commitment to quality, materials, and meticulous process.
The purpose of this site is to provide a cross-sectional display of Nick’s artwork. He updates the collection periodically, swapping pieces in and out. For inquiries regarding specific pieces or general comments, he can be reached at: nick@nicknorris.com.
The majority of Nick’s sales are to private customers worldwide, spanning the UK, Europe, Eastern Asia, and North America. His work has also been acquired by renowned public clients, including The Ritz Hotel London and VISA International.
Nick occasionally accepts commissions. If you have a project in mind, please contact him via email at nick@nicknorris.com.
